In his historic policy speech delivered at the Fifth Session of the Fourteenth Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un clarified important issues arising in developing science and technology at present.
The DPRK government should consistently hold fast to science and technology as an important state policy and apply them thoroughly in all sectors and fields. It is important to establish it as social customs to set plans and targets and solve all problems in production and construction by relying on science and technology and to channel primary efforts into scientific and technological development and innovations and train its own scientific and technical forces so as to make them play leading and pivotal role.
It is important for the scientific research sector to consider it as a seed, the basic and primary task, to solve urgent scientific and technological problems arising in the economic construction and people’s livelihood, hasten research and development for their solutions and introduce findings actively in practice to prove their worth.
