President Kim Il Sung guided a meeting of military and political cadres of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army held at Xiao
At the first day meeting, Kim Il Sung delivered a historic report On Preparing for The Great Event of National Liberation.
Summing up successes made by the KPRA for the past 10 years and the rapidly changing situation, Kim Il Sung put forward a strategic task of preserving and accumulating the force of the KPRA, the backbone of the Korean revolution, and training its men and officers to be able political and military cadres.
In order to ensure the success of the strategic task, Kim Il Sung put forward a new policy on switching over from large-unit operations to small-unit actions.
At the meeting, Kim Il Sung gave clear-cut answers to such questions as the issue of whether the next strategic stage can be defined as the period of a great revolutionary event, the strategic task that should be carried out during the period and the issue of switching over from large-unit operations to small-unit actions.
The meeting held under Kim Il Sung’s energetic guidance was a historic meeting at which a just line of ultimately destroying the Japanese imperialists was set forth in the period when the Korean revolution was in a new turning point.
