President Kim Il Sung, father of socialist Korea, was born on April 15, 1912.
The President, who embarked on the road of revolution in the early period of his teens, founded the Juche idea, waged the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle to liberate the country, repulsed the invasion of the US and its vassal forces to defend the country and built the people-centred socialism.
The President also safeguarded the fortress of socialism and worked energetically for global peace and unity under the banner of independence against imperialism, thus performing immortal exploits in the cause of global independence.
For that reason, the DPRK people and the world progressives celebrate April 15 as the day when the sun of mankind rose.
