Significant Photo Taken on Day of Commemorating Proclamation of Law on Sex Equality

On July 30, 2009 Chairman Kim Jong Il visited Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill. Looking round various places of the mill, he said that the (then) Pyongyang Textile Mill was so wonderfully refurbished that he could not find out anything past in the mill. He was very pleased to say that the mill established cultured practice in production and living.

Highly praising the Labour Heroines and labour innovators of new generation in the mill for their patriotic devotion, Kim Jong Il said that the DPRK women had added brilliance to their prestige and value of existence of those living in the era of the Workers’ Party as never before as today, adding that such epoch-making change made in their position and role clearly proves that the DPRK women, strong in revolutionary character and militant spirit, are powerful forces pushing ahead with the revolution and construction.

After a while Kim Jong Il said that he would have a photo taken together with the Labour Heroines and the labour innovators of new generation as the mill had many women workers and that day marked the proclaiming anniversary of the Law on Sex Equality.
