The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un made a field inspection of Jangjae Islet located on the southernmost tip of the waters off the southwestern sector of the front in November 2016. He left the islet with heavy mind because of drinking water for soldiers serving on the islet.

A few days later, Kim Jong Un told an official that he was always worried about drinking water of islet defense detachments and that if seawater-refining machine was installed on the islet, the soldiers on the islet could live without worrying about drinking water and his wish would come true.

True to his intention, a seawater-refining machine was to be installed. During the period of its installation, Kim Jong Un often took into account of its progress and told to inform him of the result when its test run was made.

Even at dawn of one day in January, 2017 Kim Jong Un made a call to an official to ask about the situation of installing the seawater-refining machine for the defense detachment on Jangjae Islet. A few months later, he visited the defense detachment to look round the newly-installed seawater-refining machine.

Saying that drinking water production per hour is great and the amount of its supply is enough, Kim Jong Un said with emotion that it was his wish to make the soldiers on the islet live without worrying about drinking water and the wish had come true.

Kim Jong Un was very pleased by saying that he was happy as if he would fly when he was told by the soldiers and their families that the water, unlike well water, was so fresh and sweet that bean curd was well-made, rice was cooked deliciously and no one had stomachache.
