It was one day on the eve of military parade celebrating the 35th anniversary of victory in the Pochonbo battle.
Chairman Kim Jong Il visited a unit of the Korean People’s Army that was undergoing training of military parade. He went up on a low hill to see the servicemen’s training.
The training began soon. Seeing the servicemen marching with pride, Kim Jong Il praised with satisfaction by saying that they had trained a lot. He said that there was a change of generations in the People’s Army as well as in the whole of the Korean revolution. Saying that the change of generation is inevitable in the revolutionary struggle, Kim Jong Il stressed that the lineage should be carried forward steadfastly even though one generation was taking the place of another, adding that the lineage of the People’s Army is that of the Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Army founded and led by President Kim Il Sung.
