One day in July 1998 the former Defense Minister of a country was received by Chairman Kim Jong Il during his visit to the DPRK.
That day the Chairman had a seat beside him and made a talk with him for nearly 5 hours. They talked mainly about military affairs.
He was fascinated by the Chairman who mastered not only a single arm or a service but all arms of all services, the cutting-edge technology of modern military science and equipment, the strategy and tactics of modern warfare, detailed combat methods and all other spheres of military affairs.
He was moved so much that he said that he would become a disciple of respected Kim Jong Il by saying that the Chairman was a master of military affairs as well as of politics.
Later in his memoirs, he praised Kim Jong Il as the “God” in the military field, too.
