One day in 2021, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited a construction site of residential district of terraced apartment buildings on the bank of the Pothong River in spite of the rain.
That day Kim Jong Un told officials that modern terraced apartment buildings had been built for 140 odd days and that it was necessary to look 140 years far ahead into the future and make every decision for the well-being of the people in a responsible manner. He said that it was necessary to make efforts for 5 years in order to carry through the construction policy set forth by the Eighth Party Congress however difficult it may be. He continued that it was also necessary to build 50 000 dwelling houses in Pyongyang as planned and improve natural and ecological environment of the capital and further enhance the level of civilization for 5 years. He noted that, if 50 000 dwelling houses were built while building modern ones such as the residential district of terraced apartment buildings on the bank of the Pothong River according to districts of Pyongyang, the country would become the one that solved housing problem of the capital city for the first time.
