Plan of Compulsory Primary Education Prepared Again

It was in spring 1948.
Kim Il Sung was reading a plan for a new school year preparation on his table and examining every detail of the plan about the number of schools to be increased and pupils to be enrolled. Then he asked an official of the education sector how many percentages of the whole children were to be enrolled in schools in a new school year.
High percentage of school admission was not imagined before the country was liberated. So the official told him with joy the high percentage of school admission.
But listening to the official, he thought deeply for a while. He said… The most important in preparing a new school year is to put stress on laying foundations for completely switching over to the universal compulsory primary education system in our country since 1950.
The official was so much moved that he could not say anything.
It was because he knew well what a gigantic event the complete enforcement of universal compulsory primary education system was for newly liberated country.
Kim Il Sung said that we should examine the already prepared plan in detail once again in order to substantially establish the system of giving free and compulsory education even to the children of citizens residing in every remote place.
The plan for enforcing the compulsory primary education was again prepared thanks to the intention of Kim Il Sung who possessed the view on younger generation, the view on the future.
