It was one day when the election of deputies to the Supreme People’s Assembly was held.
Early in the morning when he came out to the yard to leave for a polling station, President Kim Il Sung stopped walking suddenly and confirmed that he brought his citizen’s certificate with him.
Saying that he is the head of the state, an official asked the President whether he should bring his citizen’s certificate to the polling station.
The President explained that citizen’s certificate is a voucher of a citizen of the DPRK and therefore every person should bring citizen’s certificate when they went to elect deputies to the people’s power organs at all levels. The President continued that it was necessary to voluntarily observe the law adding that laws are established by us and he is also a citizen of the Republic.
The President examined once again whether there were any stains on his certificate and then kept it in his inner pocket.
Arriving at the polling station and making officials in the station see his citizen’s certificate, the President received a voting card from them and put it into a ballot.
