Once President Kim Il Sung was requested by personages from a country to introduce experiences of the Korean revolution. The President explained.
When agriculture was cooperativized in the DPRK, the President told officials that it was necessary to learn good experiences from foreign countries, but it was important to consider whether they suit specific conditions of the country and interests of the revolution. He said that one should swallow something if it is acceptable to one’s “stomach” but spit it out. He said that if there is a formula that must be applied in revolution, it is to think everything with one’s own brain and solve it by one’s own effort and that there can be no others except the formula.
This was the formula the President applied in the whole period of his revolutionary struggle.
The President could advance the new theory of socialist revolution different from the preceding working-class theories of revolution as he had Juche, the formula of the revolution. Based on the formula, the President gave original and scientific explanations to the theoretical and practical problems including the strategy, tactics and ways of the socialist revolution and construction.
