A performance of artistes was given with splendor on February 7, 1951 in the tunnel where the Secretariat of the Cabinet was located, in celebration of the 3rd anniversary of the founding of the Korean People’s Army.
That day Kim Il Sung expressed his satisfaction over the fact that art performance was prepared on the occasion of the historic day on which the birth of a regular revolutionary armed force was declared to the world. Kim Il Sung appreciated the performance given by the artistes.
Repeatedly praising the artistes who arranged such revolutionary and militant performance even under the difficult circumstances of the war, Kim Il Sung said in his joy that the performance inspired the fighting army and people in the Republic with confidence in victory and great courage.
Expressing his great satisfaction, Kim Il Sung said that the US planes kept flying but the excellent art performance had been put on the stage in the tunnel. Kim Il Sung explained that it was admirable that a play was created to be put on stage when everything was unfavourable owing to the war. Kim Il Sung stressed that the Republic was powerful enough to drive out the US imperialists and build a prosperous and powerful country and the performance fully demonstrated the indomitable spirit of the fighting people in the Republic
Kim Il Sung continued that the celebration performance was successful on the whole and the people and combatants of the People’s Army should be given frequent opportunities of appreciating the performance so as to instill in them the firmer confidence in victory.
