In 1999 the DPRK held the slogan to glorify the year as the one of great turning-point for the building of a powerful country.
It means that the DPRK will start the historic forward march to build the Juche-oriented socialist powerful country with the already-laid mental and material foundations as a springboard.
This shocking news created a big sensation in the international community.
As is already known, the DPRK had to suffer from difficulties owing to the abnormal situation caused in the international arena entering the 1990s. Then, how could the DPRK set the gigantic goal as its political program?
This was thanks to determined political courage of Chairman Kim Jong Il, the great leader of the Korean people.
In general, building of a powerful country is an idea that every political leader wants to have as a goal, and a powerful country is an earthly paradise which every country or nation wants to build. But no country has been ready to build such a country as it is a gigantic goal that should be achieved at any cost.
Unless one has determined political courage capable of realizing the idea, it remains only a mere dream. In order to realize one’s idea and dream, it is necessary to have determined political courage.
