One day in May 1986, Chairman Kim Jong Il examined miniatures of silicate brick houses of difference forms and diverse building material samples.

Seeing the exhibited tile designs, the Chairman grasped what sorts of raw materials are needed in producing colours of tiles in the country and took necessary measures for it.

The Chairman stressed the need to make roof tiles for silicate brick houses.

Explaining that a small and modern tilery should be built finely to wage the movement to multiply tileries with the small tilery as a model, the Chairman said that as man wearing a stylish cap looks dignified, so the houses with good tiles look spectacular.

Like this, Chairman Kim Jong Il was so considerate in making building materials more beautiful and peculiar with ardent love for the people.
