Law of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun was adopted at the 7th session of the 12th Supreme People’s Assembly in April, 2013 to further develop the cause of immortalizing the leader onto a higher stage in conformity with the requirements of the developing reality that the DPRK entered the historic turning phase in implementing the revolutionary cause of Juche.
The law which legalizes the work of preserving permanently and adding shine to the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun where President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il lie in state as the grand monument to immortalizing the leaders--this is a notable national event which sternly elucidated at home and abroad the iron-firm faith and will of the Korean service personnel and people to hold for ever as the sun of Juche the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who performed immortal exploits for the country, the people, the times and the history with their outstanding ideas and gigantic revolutionary practice.
The Kumsusan Palace of the Sun is the supreme sanctuary of Juche which is permeated with the glorious revolutionary life and exploits of great President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and where the history of the Sun goes on.
It is a steadfast faith of the Korean people to uphold Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il forever and add glory to their august names, absolute authority and immortal exploits for all ages with the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun as their mental mainstay.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un saw that the Kumsusan Memorial Palace was renamed the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun in reflection of such revolutionary will and ardent aspirations of the Korean service personnel and people. He initiated to refurbish it on the highest level and clarified dozens of detailed orientations and ways on the spot.
Thanks to the energetic leadership of Kim Jong Un, the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun has taken a splendid aspect as the sanctuary of the Sun which conveys the distinguished greatness, glorious revolutionary history and immortal exploits of Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il through generations.
The Law of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun stipulated it as the legal duty of all the people to uphold eternally Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who lie in state in the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun and keep in mind the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun as the symbol of the national dignity and biggest pride.
The law also stipulated the national duty to refurbish the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun in a more sublime and perfect way as the nation-wide and all-people undertaking and defend it desperately in every way so that nobody can attack.
The Korean service personnel and people will hold the Law of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun as the legal guarantee for the implementation of the cause of immortalizing the leader and all luster to it as the eternal sanctuary of Kim Il Sung’s nation and Kim Jong Il’s Korea.
