“We must always seek the key to victory in the revolution and construction in the motive force, not in the objective conditions, and seek the basic method and means of promoting the revolution and construction in strengthening the motive force and enhancing its role.”
The revolution is done in a certain objective condition.
Objective conditions of revolution include material and technical means or social systems, international situation or natural and geological environments. They give some influences upon victory in the revolution.
Favorable objective conditions promote advance and victory of the revolution, but unfavorable ones disturb the victorious progress of the revolution.
That is why, they should take into detailed accounts of objective conditions of revolution, and they should purposefully create and actively utilize the favourable objective conditions.
However, objective conditions in the revolution are not the fundamental factors of victory in the revolution.
The fundamental factor of victory in the revolution consists in the motive force.
In other words, success or failure in the revolution is decided by how they strengthen the motive force of the revolution and enhance its role.
If the motive force is not prepared for the struggle against reactionary forces, revolution can not be started although internal contradictions are aggravated among the enemy and they are seriously weak. Furthermore, even though powerful material and technical means are provided and the assistance from outside is big, it cannot prove its merits, if the latter is not prepared to make proper use of them. Revolution and construction are not always started only after full preparation of conditions, and favorable conditions or phenomena are not always created for the revolution and construction.
