It is the very Songun idea that delineated the guideline of the revolution to attach importance to the military affairs in the revolutionary struggle and give top priority to their strengthening, and push forward the revolution and construction with the revolutionary army as a mainstay and a hardcore.
The Songun idea was propounded as a strategic and tactical principle to thoroughly embody the demands of the Juche idea with it as an ideo-theoretical basis. The Juche idea is an independent idea that makes independence a life of a social being, the country and nation and illuminates its way; the Songun idea is an idea that gives priority to arms, concerning that the struggle for independence is waged in confrontation of force with imperialism. That’s why the Songun idea constitutes the contents of the Juche idea and becomes a revolutionary theory of giving priority to arms clarified by the Juche idea.
