It cannot.
President Kim Il Sung said:
“The labour force is the most active and important factor in production. Technology is developed by man and machines are made and operated by man.”
Generally material and technical means play a great role in transformation and change of the world performed by man.
Nowadays science and technology has made a rapid progress, thus making factories automatic and unmanned with the introduction of up-to-date technical means including computer and robot. This reality clearly shows the great role played by the material and technical means in transforming and changing the nature and society.
Subsidized bourgeois scholars are trying to deny the decisive role of man saying that man lose his position to up-to-date technical means and is reduced to powerless being. This is no more than a sophism hard to understand with normal thinking. However great their role is, it cannot be compared with the decisive role of man. The role and capacity of material and technical means in transforming and changing the world are all decided by man. For example computer automatically controls the manufacturing process and robot assembles automobile in a moment, but it is possible only with the man-made program. Viewed from this it is clear that man plays the decisive role in transforming and changing the world though a large number of material and technical means are mobilized instead of man.
Therefore the increased role of material and technical means can by no means constitute the grounds to deny the decisive role of man in transformation and development of the world.
