This new term symbolizes the noble intention and mode of existence of the Workers’ Party of Korea which gives top and absolute priority to demand and interests of the people and serves them faithfully.
Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un put forward an idea of making selfless, devoted efforts for the good of the people in his classic works including the New Year Address made on January 1, 2015 and the talk made on May 29, 2015 with senior officials of the Party and state economic organs and working people’s organizations and the talk made on October 10, 2016 with senior officials of the Central Committee of the WPK.
Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un said.
“The officials should faithfully serve the country and people for their prosperity and well-being with a noble outlook on patriotism and firm preparedness for devoted service and, shouldering heavy burdens by themselves, make redoubled efforts in the van of the masses.”
Making Selfless, Devoted Efforts for the Good of the People is boundless love for and devotion to the people by regarding it as the most important affair to realize the people’s demand and interests, by sparing nothing for the people and by sacrificing to the people.
The essence of the new term is that making selfless, devoted efforts for the good of the people is the noble view of life that one has nothing more to wish for even though their bodies may be scattered like the grains of sand on the road for the people and the do-or-die spirit of going through thick and thin.
Making Selfless, Devoted Efforts is brilliant application of the revolutionary philosophy of Juche that regards the people as the most precious and powerful beings in the world and a fruition of thoroughgoing standpoint and ennobling view of life of the Supreme Leader, who intends to add luster to the sacred revolutionary life and immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il who dedicated their all to the people in their whole life.
