To establish Juche in ideology means having the consciousness that one is the master of the revolution and construction, thinking and doing everything, centring on the revolution in one’s own country, and acquiring the viewpoint and attitude of solving all questions by one’s own talents and initiative.
The revolutionary essence of the principle of establishing Juche in ideology enables the popular masses to acquire the ideological viewpoint and attitude to participate in the revolution of their country as the masters.
Since the revolution and construction is the people’s conscious activity, everything is decided by their thinking.
In order to successfully carry out the revolution and construction, it is first important to solve the problem of the people’s thinking. The main thing here is to enhance the independent ideological consciousness among the people so that they can give full play to its strength, high degree of spiritual strength with awareness that they are the masters of the revolution and construction. This issue can be fully resolved only by establishing Juche in ideology.
Only by establishing Juche in ideology, the principles of establishing independence in politics, self-sufficiency in the economy and self-reliance in defence can be successfully maintained.
The principles of independence, self-sufficiency and self-defence are the one to defend and realize independence in the fields of politics, the economy and national defense. Therefore only when the people in every country possess Juche-oriented ideological viewpoint and attitude, can they reliably defend the political independence of one’s country, build the independent economy and self-reliant defence capabilities.
Those who are ideologically dependent on others and unable to think and act with their own brains fail to enforce independent politics, build the economy that stands on its own footing and defend them with their strength.
For this reason, Juche must be established in ideology so that the party and people in every country can carry out the revolution and construction of the country in a responsible manner, with the attitude of masters.
The party and people of a country are masters of the revolution in the country, and to carry out the revolution and construction in one’s country successfully is the basic mission of the party and people of one’s country. The world revolution, too, will only be successful when the revolution in every country is successful and when, on this basis, mutual support and cooperation is given. Therefore, the party and people of every country must firmly establish Juche in ideology, and carry out the revolution and construction in their country in a responsible manner, with the attitude of masters.
