Feat made in war period reminds you of a soldier fighting in a battle site.
The Fatherland Liberation War (1950-1953) history records a sheep breeder who travelled over 400 km with more than 110 sheep, a treasure of the country, in the period of the strategic temporary retreat.
Ri Chan Hwa was a woman who reared sheep at the Koksan branch of the then Singye General Farm. Ri had to keep sheep when the strategic temporary retreat began.
It was not easy for Ri to cross rivers, go over mountains and pass fields with the sheep through bombardment of the enemy with her young daughter on her back.
Though the country was in difficulties, Ri retreated over 110 sheep to a place of safety as she was convinced of victory in the war. The DPRK highly appraised her feat as same as the one performed by a soldier who defended a height alone. Ri was conferred the title of a hero.
