Jangjasan Revolutionary Site is situated in Jangja-dong, Kanggye City, Jagang Province, which is permeated with immortal feats made by Kim Jong Il during the grave period of the Fatherland Liberation War.
Wishing good health and safety of President Kim Il Sung who was shouldering the destiny of the country and heavy burden of the war and commanding the front, he studied hard, trained his body and spirit and fostered high aim to realize the bright future in the country which would win victory in the war, with ardent love for the country and people and hatred against the enemy, when he stayed there.
The revolutionary site includes the house where Kim Jong Il stayed, two pine-nut trees, the places where he studied, disseminated songs, released a fish, played at soldiers, practiced shooting, had a wrestling, recollected his mother Kim Jong Suk on Jangsu Peak and picked up wild grape and tara vine, the place which is associated with Kim Jong Il’s virtue, Jangja Peak and so on. It also has the monuments to Kim Jong Il’s revolutionary history and Jangja Revolutionary Museum erected to convey forever his immortal revolutionary history.
