Those Reborn in Year of National Liberation

The Korean people call those who were born in 1945 when Korea was liberated the blessed ones.

One day after liberation aged people in a rural village gathered around to have a chat about their delight of liberation and one of them said meaningfully about a child born in the year of liberation.

“A child born in the year of liberation reminds me of something meaningful. In fact, all our people are those reborn in the year when our country was liberated.”

Before the liberation, the Korean people were forced to leave native home and live in foreign lands while wailing their fates of being the ruined nation as they were deprived of the country by the Japanese imperialists, and they were forced to live a disgraceful life of slaves who were as same as the dead though they were alive.

It was President Kim Il Sung who provided the Korean people with a new life. Thanks to Kim Il Sung who liberated the country, the Korean people started a new life and changed their fate from slaves into humans, the masters of the country, who led a genuine life.

Indeed, all the Korean people were reborn on the day when Kim Il Sung liberated the country.
