True to the ideas and spirit of the Sixth and Seventh Plenary Meetings of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, every province channels big efforts into increasing the production of materials needed for building farmhouses.

South Hamgyong Province is active in readjusting and reinforcing production bases of building materials and in improving their production capacity. It concentrates efforts on laying material and technical foundations capable of normalizing the production of building materials on a high level, thus registering successes in developing new products and producing different kinds of building materials.

North Phyongan Province established a new plywood production line at the Sinuiju Reed Processing Factory so that it could open up a prospect of making quality plywood at low cost price. Big efforts are channeled in South Phyongan Province into increasing the production of finishing building materials based on light burned magnesia.
