    The might of socialism is none other than the might of collectivism.

    It is because socialist society is based on collectivism.

    Socialist idea is, in essence, collectivist idea. Socialist idea considers popular masses instead of an individual as the motive force of social movement and thoroughly advocates their interests. The socialist idea enables the popular masses to be integrated into one socio-political organism, share destiny, consolidate and develop the socialist system on the united strength of the popular masses.

    Collectivism consists in the core of social relations in socialist society and fundamental life principle runs through all fields of social life.

    In the socialist society socio-political life embodies the principle which enables the people to share weal and woe by helping each other and leading one another forward under the slogan One for all and all for one! Economic life is also characterized as an independent and creative life where people take sincere part in common work of society and collective, and all of them live equally and healthily. Since socialist society is the society in which the popular masses are regarded as the master of society, ideological and cultural life is thoroughly based on collectivism.

    The might of socialism is none other than the might of collectivism. It is because all victories and successes in socialist construction are achieved through collectivism.

    Collectivism trains the popular masses, the direct performers into powerful beings.

    Strength of popular masses, the motive force of social movement is depended by how collectivism is realized. The popular masses fail to display strength as the motive force of the revolution unless they are united. Man is able to successfully transform nature and society and fully realize their independence not individually but on the strength of the collective. The powerful motive force of the social movement is the popular masses who are united on the basis of collectivism. Only when the popular masses are firmly united as one through collectivism, they can successfully advance the building of socialism.

    Collectivism remarkably enhances the role of the popular masses in socialist construction.

    As man is a social being who makes social relations to live and act, he can realize his independent desire only in the social collective and play his creative role. People’s creative ability to transform society can be fully displayed when they form a social collective and strengthen the collective cooperation among them.

    The might of collectivism is the might of socialism that capitalism can never possess nor imitate. The Korean people who advance on the strength of collectivism helping each other and leading one another forward can conquer every fortress and break though every difficulty.

    The Korean people further demonstrate the might of collectivism, the might of socialism in today’s general offensive for final victory in building the powerful socialist country.
