    It is a Koguryo mural tomb constructed between the late 4th century and the early 5th century, in Yaksu-ri, Kangso District, Nampho City, DPRK.

    Yaksuri Mural Tomb is typical among those with pictures of people and four guardians.

    Painted in the murals are Chongryong(blue dragon), Paekho(white tiger), Jujak(red phoenix) and Hyonmu(turtle-serpent), the imaginary animals in charge of four directions, procession of the people, hunting, indoor life of the tomb’s master, a castle, stables, a mill, a cow house, kitchen and the like. Procession of the people heading for hunting ground, the chasers, the hunters shooting arrows while threading through peaks and valleys and the animals killed by arrows shows vividly bravery and optimism of the Koguryo people as they are.
