In the DPRK guidance and control over copyright is done by the press, culture, science and technology guidance organs under the unified guidance of the Cabinet.
The press, culture, science and technology guidance organs establish the proper copyright system to protect the right of copyright holder and secondary copyright holder.
The DPRK strictly prohibits organs, enterprises, organizations and citizens from such acts as copying or pirating the copyright product presented by others to make public.
The press, culture, science and technology guidance organs and other relevant organs strictly supervise and control to prevent infringement of copyright and secondary copyright.
In case of infringing copyright and secondary copyright, relevant loss is compensated and the responsible official of the organ, enterprise and group and an individual citizen who caused serious consequence shoulder executive and penal responsibility according to circumstances. Dispute caused by copyright is settled through consultation. In case it is impossible to settle through consultation, it is requested to arbitration or justice organ for settlement.
