In his New Year’s Address in 2016, respected MarshalKim Jong Un stressed that the young people in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea demonstrated the might of the youth power without parallel in the world.
Respected Marshal Kim Jong Un said.
“What makes us look back upon last year with greater delight is that our young vanguard who are reliably carrying forward the lineage of the Juche revolution and faith demonstrated the might of the youth power without parallel in the world by means of their loyalty to the Party and heroic struggle.”
Through the construction of the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station last year, the young people in the DPRK created the charging spirit and culture of young people of the Songun era that are the precious wealth of the youth movement.
In the fierce struggle with nature spanning over 10 years, they who tempered their courage and faith in the blizzards of Paektu, built the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station as their grand monument shedding patriotic sweat and blood in the spirit of death-defying implementation of the WPK’s policies.
The charging spirit of young people created at the site of the grandiose nature-remaking project, where Mt. Paektu, the sacred mountain on which the Korean revolution was pioneered, is a spirit of rushing straight forward after pushing aside other things in hearty response to the Party’s call, a powerful attacking spirit of leveling a mountain and blocking a river course at a stroke like exploding dynamite, and a spirit of self-reliance and self-development of tiding over indescribable difficulties by dint of comradeship and the might of the collective.
The Songun-based culture of young people is a wholesome culture of developing the decent things of the nation, not adopting gaudy ones of others, a militant culture of advancing full of vigor singing revolutionary songs loudly in the face of difficulties, and a typical socialist cultured way in the Songun era of leading an assiduous, meticulous and cultured life whatever the situation. They also performed laudable deeds that touched people’s heartstrings.
Number of pioneers have been emerged: they performed deeds that touched people’s heartstrings including 20-year-old “maiden mother” who is looking after 7 orphans with maternal affection, the young people who dedicated their bloods and fleshes without hesitation for the sake of others and became eternal companions of honored disabled soldiers, and the young people who volunteered to the teaching post at the remote mountain and island villages, power station construction site at a remote mountain area, the socialist cooperative fields, fishing sector and the new development sites.
Kim Jong Un clarified in his address that the millions of young people, fully equipped with the revolutionary ideology of the great leaders and firmly rallied behind the Party, have grown strong in ideas and faith, to become successors to the cause of the Juche revolution. This is the greatest dignity, pride and success for us.
Educated and trained in the embrace of the great leaders and the Party, the millions of young people will rush ahead along the course of the Korean revolution set by the Party to become the creators of miracles, the youth heroes at every construction site of building a thriving nation and thus further demonstrate the might of the youth power in 2016.
