In his New Year’s Address, respected Marshal Kim Jong Un clarified that all the sectors of the national economy should take it as an important policy-oriented requirements to ensure domestic production of equipment and rely on locally available raw and other materials.

“All the sectors of the national economy should set ambitious goals and maintain regular production by tapping every possible internal reserve and potentiality. They should also take it as an important policy-oriented requirement to improve product quality, ensure domestic production of equipment and rely on locally available raw and other materials, and make strenuous efforts to this end.”
The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea has made dynamic efforts to ensure domestic production of equipment and rely on locally available raw and other materials up to today and thus has made many successes.
By successfully launching “Kwanmyongsong-4”, a 100% domestic practical satellite, it fully demonstrated to the world the intellectual and economic potentialities of Songun Korea leaping rapidly and proved once again the truth that Korea does once it is determined.
In the flames of the struggle to carry out the ideas of the Party and safeguard the Party’s politics, the working class, scientists and technicians in the sector of metallurgical industry in Korea actively studied and introduced the Korean-style Juche-based steel-production methods and techniques including the method of producing iron relying on anthracite and a technique of high-temperature combustion and thus made a big stride in making the metallurgical industry Juche-based.
In the sector of machine-building industry, the Korean-style CNC machine tools were manufactured to actively put the factories and enterprises on CNC bases and the light airplanes and subway train have been made by relying on the domestic techniques, equipments and materials to demonstrate to the world the mettle of advancing and leaping Korea.
Through the efforts to rely on raw and other materials in many factories and enterprises, it has actively accelerated the efforts to make the economy Juche-based and modernized.
On the basis of such successes, respected MarshalKim Jong Un put forward it as an important policy-oriented requirement to ensure domestic production of equipment and rely on locally available raw and other materials.
