DPRK Women Who Make Contribution to Country’s Prosperity Say

Followings are voices from the DPRK women who enjoy equality and freedom and lead an independent and worthwhile life as masters of the country on the occasion of the March 8 International Women’s Day.

When she was asked by a pressman what the biggest pleasure of her life was, Han Myong Hui, a weaver of the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill and a deputy to the DPRK Supreme People’s Assembly said.

“Different people, different pleasure of life. For me it is the biggest pleasure of life that I do honourable and worthwhile job to provide the people with better cloth.

So I have worked hard and hard. The country made me a deputy to the SPA and a meritorious person of socialist patriotism.

I will weave more cloth in my whole life.”

Mun Sun Hui, the head teacher of Paegun Primary School in Pukchang County and winner of the People’s Teacher title, answered when a pressmen asked her what pride and glory of educationist is.

“Knowledge and ability is beacon of life. I think pride and glory of an educationist is to train students to be strong pillars of the future who are possessed of more profound knowledge and to make them cherish gratitude of the socialist system deep in their minds.”

Jong Kyong Sun, a winner of Model Worker Honour Prize and a work-team leader of Sakju County Road Facilities Managing Station said as follows when she was asked what made her become a person who takes care of roads.

“I thought that it would be uneasy for me, a citizen of the country if the roads were imperfect and, therefore, if the people felt inconvenient even a moment and if vehicles were disturbed on the way to the socialist construction sites. That’s why I decided to take care of roads.”

These are words of the DPRK women who lead worthwhile and happy life as genuine masters of the society.
