A professor of laws in a country who once visited the DPRK said.

“Our law which represents the capitalist world smells of gold, the money. However, the Constitution of the DPRK smells of working people, the human.”

This is an objective estimation of the Socialist Constitution of the DPRK.

Each article of the Constitution is run through with great man-centred idea and permeated with warm love for the people.

Article 8 of the Socialist Constitution of the DPRK says.

“The social system of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is a people-centred system under which the working people are the masters of everything and everything in society serves the working people.

The State shall defend and protect the interests of the workers, peasants, working intellectuals who have been freed from exploitation and oppression and become masters of the State and society.”

Working people in the DPRK take positive part in the state administration and exercise fully freedom and rights as masters of the country. All children are maintained in nurseries and kindergartens enjoying the benefits from the state since birth. Everyone can be provided with 12-year free compulsory education and enjoy the benefits of free medical care. All able-bodied citizens at working age can choose occupations in accordance with their ability and skills and enjoy such benefits from the state as relaxation, recuperation and paid leave.

That is why the DPRK people highly praise each article of the constitution which is permeated with love for the people.
