The 4th plenary meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea set forth important tasks for sustained growth of agricultural production.
The tasks are to promote the seed revolution, establish scientific farming system and method to cope with disastrous abnormal climate, change the grain production structure of the country and powerfully propel rice and wheat farming.
The tasks are also to raise once again the strong wind of bean and potato farming, improve low-yielding lands, increase per-hectare yield and boost production of fruit, vegetable and industrial crop.
