At the 4th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un emphasized that the power industrial sector should strive to raise the electric-power production to a high level while satisfactorily meeting the immediate demand for electric power and it should reduce the loss of power in transmission.
Upholding the idea and spirit of the plenary meeting, officials and workers in the power industrial sector in the DPRK responded to the Party’s call.
Workers in the thermal power sector wage an unyielding offensive from the first day of this year to fulfill production plan every day.
Especially, officials, workers and technicians in the Pyongyang Thermal Power Station turn out as one in an increased production drive and record high power production results day after day while increasing the use of generating equipment.
Workers in the hydropower sector also fulfilled power production plan on the first day of this year. They are increasing production as always.
Hydropower stations including the Suphung, Hochongang and Jangjingang Power Stations take economic and technical measures to improve the scientific standard of water control and the operating efficiency of generating equipment, thus increasing the production.
