    Revolutionary song is a song resounding high in the ranks of struggle and a march of an era.

    Kim Jong Suk was fond of the song very much.

    It was attributable to the fact that she was possessed of the revolutionary optimism.

    She made sure that the whole ranks were overwhelmed with the revolutionary songs, the songs of victory all the time.

    They included “Song of the Red Flag,” “Guerrilla March” and “Song of Anti-Japanese War” sung in Chechangzi guerrilla base and the “Song of the Life-and-Death Battle” sung by her as solo on the stage of art performance and “Revolutionary Song” she taught in the guerrilla bases and the enemy-ruled areas.

    The songs of the revolution resounded ceaselessly wherever she was were the songs of the faith, struggle and the life singing before the history a confidence in victory in the revolution and a desire and ambition for the future.

    It was in the middle of September, 1943 when she was discussing together with the officials of Youth League the measures for thoroughly implementing the tasks set by the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung in his speech “The Korean Revolutionaries Must Know Korea Well.”

    At that time, she said that the life of the young guerrillas was inconceivable without the songs and dance although the revolutionaries should not ease the tension, keeping discipline.

    And she said that the more difficult the training and the life was the more optimistic and cultural the life should be, stressing that singing and dancing seemed to hinder the well-organized collective life but the fact was quite contrary to it, and that the people could carry out the difficult political military tasks better when they led cheerful and pleasant life with mental composure.

    The revolutionary songs sung by the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters in the unprecedented severe hunger and cold, the recreation parties held in the spare moments of the battles and the colorful art performances held on holidays and after the summing-up of military and political trainings are associated with an immortal feat of Kim Jong Suk who made her vigorous efforts for the victory in revolution, singing the songs of revolution.

    The revolutionary songs sung by Kim Jong Suk on the anti-Japanese battlefields are resounding louder on the long march of Songun revolution lead by respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.
