The revolutionary life of Kim Jong Suk, the anti-Japanese heroine, who lives in the memory of the Korean people and the world progressive people, was a great life of having defended the leader with devotion.

It was her invariable faith that there should never be any mistakes in ensuring the personal safety of Kim Il Sung and he should be devotedly defended in any sudden circumstances and at all times.
Kim Jong Suk with such faith and will always made it a rule to give top priority to ensuring his safety both in the fierce battlefield and in the arduous march.
President Kim Il Sung said:

One day in late June, 1940 a small unit of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army personally led by Kim Il Sung encountered with a large enemy unit known as the most vicious at Tashahe, Antu County.
Kim Il Sung commanded the battle on a rock in the middle of a hill.
Kim Jong Suk told him to move the commanding post to a safe place over and over again, but he stood still on the rock for the full view of the enemy’s movements and continued commanding the battle.
Kim Jong Suk, a markswoman, who kept a close watch on the enemy’s movements while shooting them down, saw a group of enemy aim at Kim Il Sung in the thick reed field taking the advantage of the confusion.
At the crucial moment she jumped her body up to keep the President safe from the enemy and shot with a Mauser an enemy moving in the van.
Kim Il Sung who grasped the situation also shot down another one over her shoulder.
Kim Jong Suk shot down the enemy in succession, protecting Kim Il Sung with her left hand.
The enemies were shot down in turn by both of them.
The enemies who sneaked into the reed field to attack the headquarters of the revolution were all shot down in a moment.
It was only a few steps that Kim Jong Suk ran towards Kim Il Sung to protect him and it took her only a few seconds to shot the enemy down. But the steps and the seconds were a great moment that saved the destiny of the Korean revolution and the nation.
Kim Jong Suk also lured the enemy with a self-sacrificing spirit whenever the headquarters was in danger.
At the beginning of 1939, a unit of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army which was on the march under the personal command of Kim Il Sung had a break for a while on a table land at dawn.
The guerillas who forced their way through snowdrifts all over the night flopped down on the snow and fell asleep as soon as they were ordered to have a break.
However, Kim Jong Suk went down to the foot of the mountain far away from the unit and collected grass roots for meal digging snow while looking around with a great vigilance.
It was because the enemy had to climb up from the foot of the mountain if they wanted to approach the headquarters.
Kim Jong Suk found the enemy creep in stealth towards the headquarters taking advantage of the darkness and fierce snowstorm.
She gave a signal gunshot and ran to the opposite side of the headquarters.
The enemy followed her.
Kim Jong Suk intentionally exposed her before the enemy to lure the enemy far away from the headquarters for its safety and then she shot down the enemy in succession in a favorable position.
Having heard the gun report, the guerillas shot down the enemy from behind.
This is one of many episodes produced in the whole period of the anti-Japanese armed struggle.
Kim Jong Suk not only defended Kim Il Sung with her life as if her body was a human bomb and s
Lack of salt was a big difficulty during the anti-Japanese armed struggle.
One day a guerilla was ordered to go down to a village to get some salt. He brought a large quantity of salt with the help of the villagers.
Finding that the villagers wanted to buy much salt, the enemy thought that they could send them to the guerrillas and sold poisoned salt.
When Kim Jong Suk who always paid great attention to Kim Il Sung’s personal safety found it unusual to have bought many precious salt at a time, she examined the salt with vinegar and found out that it was poisoned and reported to Kim Il Sung about it. That day the safety of the headquarters and the unit was ensured by her correct judgment and high vigilance. The enemy suddenly attacked the guerilla unit with the calculation of the effect of the poisonous salt. But they were heavily defeated by the counterattack of the guerillas. Only few of them could run away.
Here is another story.
It was when Kim Il Sung was preparing to return back after holding a meeting of the Homeland Party Working Committee in Yonsa in northern region of Korea and setting forth an important policy at the meeting.
The commanding members and guerillas of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army were full of determination to thoroughly carry out the policy.
Just at the moment she also kept vigilance against the movements of the enemy and poured her heart and soul to ensuring the safety of the headquarters.
She anticipated that the enemy could get information on the activities of the guerilla and make some maneuvers against it as the unit conducted activities in many areas of the region for several days, so she checked every post whether something strange had happened.
A commanding officer in charge of the guard duty told her that there was nothing strange. He told her that he detained two peasants who were climbing the mountain to pick up oak mushrooms, but that he would send them back after the unit move away, because they were not suspicious.
Kim Jong Suk who was in thought for a while asked him why they picked up oak mushrooms in the region which was covered with a thick pine forest and told him that oak mushrooms came out after the rain, but it had never rained since the unit stayed there.
Soon she went to the guard post to inquire them.
As anticipated by Kim Jong Suk, they were spies who tried to detect the activities of the unit in the disguise of peasants.
When the enemy was informed that the headquarters of the KPRA conducted activities in the region, they dispatched spies to every direction with the promise to promote their rank and give a large amount of bonus to those who found out its whereabouts, while they were ready day and night for the emergency mobilization. A great number of military forces got ready to go into immediate action as soon as information comes from the spies. The above-mentioned facts were confessed by the “peasants”.
Everything was as she anticipated.
Kim Jong Suk told the guerillas to report the prevailing situation to Kim Il Sung so that the enemy’s plots could be frustrated immediately.
The Japanese imperialists made every vicious attempt and resorted to every cunning trick to attack the headquarters, but their moves were completely frustrated by her who kept a high vigilance and keen perspicacity any time and anywhere to defend Kim Il Sung devotedly.
She also devoted herself to ensuring his personal safety.
Kim Jong Suk put her cut locks of hair in the s
