Mountains account for nearly 80 percent of the DPRK’s land area.
The DPRK regards afforestation and forest conservation as the all-out and worthwhile patriotic work of further improving the people’s livelihood and increasing the country’s wealth as well as the state affair of a weighty significance.
Amid the fervent patriotic zeal of the DPRK people many tree nurseries across the country have been remodeled into excellent ones to introduce scientific, industrial and intensive methods into the production of saplings, thus providing a reliable guarantee for conducting successful forest restoration campaign.
Only in 2018 hundreds of millions of saplings were produced by the wonderfully-built tree nurseries on a national scale.
Meanwhile, wonderful scientific and technological successes ensuring a victory in the forest restoration campaign were made so as to study and manufacture the machinery and equipment necessary for the forest restoration.
Thanks to the fervent patriotic zeal of the DPRK people who make efforts with the ennobling view of the younger generation that they would make the posterity enjoy happy life through generations on the beautiful land of the country even in the distant future although they may not enjoy it in their lifetime, all the DPRK mountains will be changed into the ones of gold and treasure in the near future.
