All the DPRK people are under protection of their doctor in charge from birth to death.
The doctors call at their families to grasp in detail the health of the family members and take necessary preventive and medicine measures so as to prevent disease in advance and cure it in time. They visit their district also to make hygienic propaganda and vaccination. In the DPRK doctors are obliged to take responsible care of them lest the families in charge should be sick.
The doctors look after the families and their members who they are in charge of with health care records, which is guaranteed by law and by their high sense of self-awareness and duty.
Article 27 of the Public Health Law of the DPRK regulates… The State shall consolidate and develop the district doctor system, the advanced medical service system of which aim is to let the doctors be in charge of some residential zones and usually visit them to take preventive and curative medical care for their health.
Article 56 of the DPRK Socialist Constitution stipulates. “The State shall protect people’s lives and improve the working people’s health by consolidating and developing the system of universal free medical service, improving the district doctor system and implementing the policy of preventive medicine.”
The district doctor system is superior public health system that can be seen only in the socialist system of the DPRK where the people are masters of everything and everything serves them.
