As a part of projects for the protection of the air environment, the undertakings to prevent the discharge of contaminants and conserve water hygienically are being undergone on a regular basis.
All the organs, enterprises and organizations are equipped with facilities preventing the discharge of contaminants including smoke, gas and the like capable of polluting air so as to prevent air pollution by running them on a regular basis. Places for the proper storing and purifying toxic materials and vermin’s egg are set so as to prevent soil pollution. In the DPRK, water is divided into drinking, household and industrial water so as to secure the hygienic water conservancy.
Organs, enterprises and organizations preserve rivers and lakes, reservoirs and underground water utilized in producing drinking water, household water and industrial water on the hygienic basis, and they discharge the used water after thoroughgoing purifying and sterilizing them.
Facilities for the hygienic conservancy of drinking water and household water and other facilities for hygienic use of water are furnished or repaired after the inspection of hygienic and anti-epidemic establis
