What Kind of Society Should Be Built in Korea after Liberation?

One autumn day in 1926 when he was seeking for the way out to save the destiny of the ruined nation at Hwasong Uisuk School, President Kim Il Sung raised a question at a discussion about history of the world revolution.

One student said that a capitalist society should be built, another student said that a feudal dynasty should be established again in Korea and the other said that it was premature to discuss about what kind of country should be built after liberation as the country was not liberated yet. Their opinions were different from each other.

At that time, saying that Korea should neither undergo bourgeois revolution like the European countries nor restore the old feudal ruling machinery, Kim Il Sung stressed that both capitalist and feudal societies were those in which the rich exploited the working masses to live in luxury, and therefore, such an unfair society should not be built in Korea after liberation.

He clarified that it was necessary to build a society without exploitation and oppression, a society in which workers, peasants and other working masses live a happy life after liberation of the country.

He easily explained them that a communist society should be built in Korea after liberation.
