On November 26, 2023 when he visited the Ryongsong Machine Complex, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un gave high appreciation by saying that workers in the complex created a new Chollima spirit by having produced large compressors. At the 9^th Plenary Meeting of the 8^th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Kim Jong Un appealed the entire people to follow the new spirit of the times, the Chollima spirit of the new era.

Workers in Ryongsong Machine Complex displayed potentiality and spirit of the DPRK and resoluteness of the Korean revolution in the most important and responsible period of the DPRK’s development, thus creating the Chollima spirit of the new era. Then, what is its essence?

It is the spirit of loyalty that enables them to realize plans and intentions of the Party Central Committee without any delay or condition, the spirit of patriotism that enables them to hasten prosperity and development of the country as soon as possible and the spirit of self-reliance which enables them to put an end to flunkeyism, defeatism, mysticism about technique and inclination to import and to create everything by their own strength and by dint of science and technology.

It is the spirit of loyalty which enables them to realize plans and intentions of the Party Central Committee without any delay or condition.

It expresses intensively the ideological and spiritual traits unique to the DPRK people who follow and support the Party Central Committee with single mind.

It is also the spirit of patriotism which enables them to hasten prosperity and development of the country as soon as possible by making uninterrupted innovations and advance.

It reflects the heroic mettle and indomitable offensive spirit of the DPRK people who beat the world with the far-reaching ideal by reliably inheriting the fighting spirit and mettle of the legendary preceding generations who brought about a great change and miracle, that is, the birth of a socialist system. That is why, the fighting spirit of the new era becomes a powerful driving force that encourages the entire people to make strenuous efforts with patriotism.

It is also the spirit of self-reliance which enables them to create everything by their own strength and by dint of science and technology.

As is the indefatigable spirit of self-reliance that enables them to put an end to flunkeyism, defeatism, mysticism about technique and inclination to import, the Chollima spirit of the new era serves as an ever-victorious weapon that enables the DPRK people to fully demonstrate dignity of a powerful country and honour of the strong nation.
