In June 1968, officials concerned presented President Kim Il Sung various samples of shoes produced for the people and were waiting for his teachings about them.

A few days later, that is, one July day in 1968 the officials received a box. In the box there were the samples of shoes they had presented to him. They hurried to open the box.

Every pair of shoes in the box had a piece of paper on which the President commented.

Some of them had two or three comments for their correction and some had more than ten. Reading one comment by one, the officials were moved.

President Kim Il Sung paid so much attention to the people’s shoes that he spared his precious time to make comments on all samples of shoes.
