Early in the morning on November 1, 1945 Kim Il Sung said to Kim Chaek in a proud voice with broad smile on his face that Jongno (the Right Road), the Party organ was issued at last through efforts.

Reading articles of the organ, Kim Chaek was much excited by the efforts Kim Il Sung had made for the first issue of the Party organ.

Kim Il Sung gave officials the task to write articles and sat up all night to correct them. In addition, he dispatched officials concerned to every part of the country in order to get the types for the organ, paid attention to the equipping with printers and chose the best and largest building in Pyongyang City at that time as a building for the Party organ Jongno.

Saying that, as a revolutionary army with powerful arms can defeat enemy, so our Party can win in the revolution only when it has such an ideological weapon as the Party organ, he noted that the Party organ Jongno would fulfill its honorable mission.

The Party organ Jongno was born more than 20 days after the Party was founded.
