The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited Songdowon International Children’s Camp at the end of May, 2013.
Entering the compound of the camp, Kim Jong Un said ardently that Songdowon International Children’s Camp is a meaningful place which is associated with great leadership exploits of the President and the Chairman. He continued that he came to the camp in order to acquaint himself with its management and take measures so that the camp could be rebuilt wonderfully as required by a new century.
Looking round several parts of the camp, Kim Jong Un taught the rebuilding direction and methods. Then, he asked officials about the running period of the camp in a year.
By then, camping was possible only in summer and the camp was empty in winter.
Being told by the officials, Kim Jong Un said that camping was possible even in winter if the camp buildings were furnished with heating system. He said that it would be better to select models among the Children’s Union members and allow them to enjoy camping at this camp while skiing in Masikryong Ski Resort as well.
Kim Jong Un said that camping in winter at Songdowon International Children’s Camp would be a new camping system of the country.
