Kim Il Sung Covered 578 000 km-long Field Guidance during His Life

    578 000 km is not the distance that can be covered by everyone.
    The distance equivalent to coming and going from Mt Paektu to Mt Halla 301 times and going round the earth nearly 14 times was covered by President Kim Il Sung who made field guidance soon after liberation of the country till the last moment of his great revolutionary life.

    President Kim Il Sung always found himself among the people to show them affection and happiness, saying that he was most pleased with being with the people.

    Guiding a conference of senior officials in the economic field, the President said…

    Up to now, I have believed in the people, struggled for them and lived among them.
    I devoted my whole life to the country and the nation, and I have struggled with the people throughout my life…

    Listening to the President, the officials were moved by his instruction which were run through with great affection for and devotion to the country and the people.

    Factories and farm villages, cities and local areas, schools and military units—every corner of the country was associated with the President’s boundless affection and devotion.

    The President acquainted himself first with living conditions of workers before production situation whenever he paid field guidance to factories and inquired first into the farmers’ cash income when he visited farm villages.

    Saying that we ought to eat boiled millet when the people take it, the President had boiled rice and cereals.
    The President took green maize belatedly on the train coach as lunch after going round many farm fields and took the first step regardless of mud for the tideland reclamation, saying he would do anything for the good of the people.

    The President continued to tell the officials who were moved by his field guidance with emotion.
    I will always be with my people in the future, too.

    When he dropped in a shop of a county, the President earnestly said that commercial officials should not be embedded in selling goods but be purchasers, and when he made cloth production plan of the country, the President calculated in his pocketbook in detail the quantity to be allotted to each household and person.

    Even today, the impressing stories on the President’s field guidance eloquently show the noble world of devotion of the great father.

    Not only the Korean people but the world progressives praise highly the whole life of the President who made history of love for the people while regarding The People Are My God as his motto.
