Kim Jong Il’s Patriotism is a new term that associates with the name of Chairman Kim Jong Il the ennobling patriotism of the Chairman who made tireless efforts for the country and people in his whole life burning his heart with ardent love for them.
In his classic works including Let Us Step up the Building of a Thriving Country by Applying Kim Jong Il’s Patriotism, the talk made with senior officials of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea on July 26, 2012, Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un formulated the patriotism that Chairman Kim Jong Il cherished and applied as Kim Jong Il’s patriotism and comprehensively explained the essence and characteristics of Kim Jong Il’s patriotism and the tasks and ways for its application.
Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un said.
“In the light of its essential content and great vitality, the patriotism he cherished and applied in his practical activities is the most ennobling patriotism, and it can be associated only with his name. For this reason, when I speak of patriotism, I mean not patriotism in general, but Kim Jong Il’s patriotism, the patriotism that he cherished and applied in the defence of his country and in making it prosperous.”
Essence of Kim Jong Il’s patriotism is that it is not patriotism in general, but the patriotism that Chairman Kim Jong Il cherished and applied in the defence of the country and in making it prosperous.
Kim Jong Il’s patriotism is the crystallization of socialist patriotism.
It is the most fervent and ardent love for the socialist country and people and the most earnest and self-sacrificing devotion to prosperity of the socialist country and well-being of the people.
Essential feature of Kim Jong Il’s patriotism is that it is based on the ennobling view of the country, on the noble view of the people and run through with the ennobling view of the younger generation.
Kim Jong Il’s Patriotism embodies the WPK’s and the Korean people’s unshakable will and determination to display Kim Jong Il’s patriotism to the full so as to bring about a new epochal phase in building of a powerful socialist country by dint of surging patriotism and single-hearted unity of the entire Korean people, thus realizing with sure the Chairman’s patriotic desire, the desire for a powerful country.
