Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism is a new term with which the revolutionary ideas of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il are formulated in combination with their august names.

The Juche idea explains the man-centred philosophical principle, the people-centered socio-historical principles and the guiding principles of the revolution and construction. All theories and principles, the whole system and content of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism proceed from the Juche idea and are developed and systematized with the Juche idea as an ideological, theoretical and methodological basis.
The Juche-oriented theory of revolution and the Juche-oriented method of leadership are important components of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism. The Juche-oriented theory of revolution is strategy and tactics of the revolution that is centred on the popular masses and based on the role of the popular masses. The Juche-oriented method of leadership is the revolutionary and popular mass leadership method of giving priority to interests of the people, finding oneself among the people to share life and death with them and solving all problems by relying on their strength and wisdom.

The new term Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism is not only a reflection of the unanimous will and desire of the WPK and the entire Korean people to add eternal brilliance to the distinguished ideological and theoretical exploits of the Chairman who developed and enriched Kimilsungism as required by the era and the developing revolution but also an application of the Supreme Leader’s firm decision and will to hold fast to the revolutionary ideas of the President and the Chairman as the immortal guiding ideology of the WPK and the Korean revolution and advance the revolution and construction true to the ideas and intentions of the President and the Chairman.
