In order to establish Juche in ideology, one must be well versed in one’s own things and give top preference to them.
Only when one is well versed in one’s own things, will one be able to solve all problems in the revolution and construction in an independent manner and to suit to one’s specific situation and carry out the revolution and construction in conformity with the aspirations and requirements of one’s people. Only then will one be able to love one’s country and people ardently and fully demonstrate patriotic devotion and revolutionary enthusiasm.
People in each country must know well history and geography, economy and culture of their country and customs of their people and, in particular the policies of their party, revolutionary history and tradition. Only then, will they be able to establish Juche and become true patriots and revolutionaries.
As they make the Korean revolution, the Korean people must be well versed in their own things, in other words, ideas, theories and policies of the Workers’ Party of Korea and history, culture and tradition of the Korean nation.
Whether or not one carries out revolution and construction with the stand of master hinges on the ideological view and stand of whether one values one’s own things or not.
One must value, love and give precedence to one’s own things in order to love one’s country and devote one’s all for its prosperity and development. Only when one is well versed in one’s own things and has self-consciousness of valuing, loving and giving precedence to them, will one have love for the country and the spirit of devoted service. One, who does not value, love and give precedence to one’s own things nor make efforts to further develop them, is unable to become genuine patriot.
It is necessary to make devoted efforts with the determination to love, give precedence to and further develop one’s own things and with the readiness to go ahead of others by freshly developing them if theirs are inferior to others’ to place them on the world advanced level.
It is necessary to accept good ones of others to make them one’s own while giving precedence to one’s own things. One must not resort to exclusivism that negates or rejects good ones of others while asserting one’s own things are the best to establish Juche.
